Over 500 attend PUDEMO End of Year Gathering!
The People's United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) ended the year on a high note through a well attended social gathering in the home of its President Mlungisi Makhanya at Sikhuphe on Tuesday 28 December 2021.
The organization decided to take a moment to reflect on the year 2021 and take a step back to retreat through a social gathering attended by over 500 members from the organization's branches across the country.
Addressing the delegates, Makhanya spoke briefly about political developments in eSwatini and mentioned that they will not rest until freedom is attained. "As we are here our thoughts are with the incarcerated MPs Bacede and Mthandeni as well as exiled Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane and other political prisoners and exiles," he said. The PUDEMO President then thanked his party members for their resilience throughout the year and asked them to redouble their efforts in 2022.
The event was characterized by political songs and slogans especially towards the late afternoon while others were having a great time within Makhanya's splashy residence.
