BREAKING NEWS: KING APPOINTS FORMER PUDEMO DSG AS A SENATOR
History was made when former People's United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) Deputy Secretary General, Stukie Motsa, was announced as part of the 20 senators appointed by King Mswati III on Sunday 05 November 2023.
Motsa, also a former trade unionist and long-serving shop Stewart who later became a Legal Officer of the National Public Service and Allied Workers Union (NAPSAWU), was once elected as the DSG of PUDEMO in the organization's 2006 congress.
She deputized Siphasha Dlamini, herself a former trade unionist and school Principal. The organization has a long standing position of boycotting the Swazi elections. In recent years, Motsa has not been an active member of the organization and in 2016 she started the Stukie Motsa Foundation. This non-profit organization provides services to people with albinism.

At the time of Motsa's appointment, she was Principal Health Administrator of the National Laboratory Services in the Ministry of Health. Reached for comment, Motsa mentioned to the Bridge News that her appointment took her by surprise.
"Quite frankly, I didn't expect it at all. I received messages from many people who told me about the news yesterday and I was surprised," she said. Stukie studied Law at the University of Swaziland and graduated in the 80's.
In recent times, she has been an active voice speaking on issues involving people with albinism.
